Hello! I paper-crafted yesterday! It has been quite awhile since I’ve done anything but sit with my laptop, but it was so much fun just to play around! On Wednesday, I got a HUGE box of paper and accessories from My Mind’s Eye.
So I quickly made this cute and very FAST card using the Quite Contrary line from MME that Zoe Pearn and I designed. I cut out the little imperfect scallop border by hand and then doodled a border around it to make it look a little more finished. Then I simply added a border sticker, some sticker letters and sticker buttons (with a little twine pulled through the holes). And I finished it off with a rhinestone border from MME’s Lush Line.
Also on the inside, since the b-side of the paper was too busy to write on, I pulled a journal card from Quite Contrary and wrote on that:

Actually playing around with this line made me realize how great it is for card making. Which I’m really excited about because that is probably my favorite thing to do with paper right now! There are tons of little journal cards and accessories and most of the prints are really small and work well for layering especially when dealing with small spaces like cards. When I find a little free time in a few weeks, I’m just going to sit down and make a huge collection of cards with all this paper!!

Mini-project Monday is here! We all know that there are some extremely unattractive valentine’s cards out there. Some of them are kind of cute, and your kids may really want the my little pony or spiderman cards. If you can actually manage to get to the store to buy them the moment they come out, you can get the ones you want. But chances are you’ll run to the store on february 13th and end up with teletubby cards… don’t tell me it hasn’t happened to you before!
Don’t worry, this year is going to be different. I’ve got you covered! I designed some cute and simple valentine’s cards for you to print out at home. Best of all they are free! These can be used as valentines for your kids to give out or as tags on gifts for neighbors, children, siblings, & grandmas! Just print them out, cut them, attach some candy (I recommend lollipops) and have your child write his or her name. Voila! Fast and easy valentine’s that are actually cute!
Look at how adorable these cards are! The link for you to download is at the bottom of this post. enjoy!

Download this file and enjoy (for personal use only). Please tell your friends to come visit the site and download their own file. I would love a comment if you do download them! Happy Valentine’s Day!!
The file is one 8.5″x11″ JPG that has all 4 designs on it. Once that pulls up, just left-click and save to your desktop. You should be able to open it in any basic photo-editing software and print.
If you are another blog or crafting site and would like to link this project to yours, please contact me. Thanks!

So I was going to do a great project for you today, but I don’t have the camera I need. But rest assured, tomorrow I’m going to dust off the old sewing machine and get going. If all goes according to plan, I’m going to be making a fabulous… drumroll please… pin cushin! This may seem like a simple task, but I think the best place to start is simple. Every other attempt at sewing has resulted in me calling my mother half way (read: right after I’ve cut out the fabric) and having her do all the actual sewing. So I am going to choose a project that ensures success. This may be a good tip for success… don’t choose something too overwhelming until you are a pro!
In the mean time, I am going to post two cards that I just designed for my friend’s card site: Card Nirvana. You should check it out. We sell super easy to customize cards that you print at home! Without further ado:

I didn't draw the robots, Mr. Project did (I wonder if he'll let me call him that)

I did draw these flowers though! And hey this could come in handy in the future!
