I’m sorry ahead of time for how long this post may take to load. It’s VERY heavy on the photo side! But also very heavy on the fun side!

I just got back from CHA and I’m exhausted, but I had to share all these lovely photos of the My Mind’s Eye Booth. Particularly the line that I designed called Lost & Found. If you’re a regular reader, you’ll have noticed that I took a bit of a break from blogging. The reason was because I was working my tail off getting this gorgeous line designed! I am so in love with it – but photos just don’t do it justice. It must be experienced in person! The glitter is amazing and the designs are timeless and beautiful.

Here is me standing in front of the display — I should have taken this photo on the first day of the show — at this point, I just wanted to go home and see my hubby.

Lost & Found has all sorts of goodies — including acrylic stamps, layered stickers, 3-d embellishments, trims, brads (epoxy, pearl, flower), chipboard album covers & rings, buttons, alpha stickers, and all sorts of glittery bits and pieces.

My most favorite project at the MME booth was a mini album that Amber Packer created using the “Union Square” papers and pieces. It’s all black, cream, and red — and 100% gorgeous. Don’t forget the amazing red glitter that is already on almost everything in the Union Square collection.

There was another lovely mini album – created with two sets of album covers from the “Market Street” collection. I’m not sure who this one is by, though Amber will probably let me know. My Most favorite part of this album was the use of my banner acrylic stamps. She must have stamped different colors on cream paper and then cut them out to create these adorable banners inside the mini album.

Here are those stamps — also you can see the awesome coral glitter that is all over the Market Street Collection.

Here are some photos of each of the sides of the display so you can get an idea of how much product is in this line (and why I’ve been missing for so long). I’m tired just looking at it all! That’s 40 double-sided papers folks!

And here are a few little close-ups – hopefully you can see some of the foil glitter detailing.

I can’t believe I didn’t get any close-ups of the buttons! They are one of my favorite items — all the sets look like mixed vintage sets of buttons like you would find in an antique shop – and they are sewn to little unique button cards. So fun!

Here are some of the amazing Lost & Found layouts by the Design Team:

And a few close-ups – notice the crepe paper trim in this one — thats part of the line!

I keep hearing over and over again how easy it is to build layouts with this line. I love to hear that!

And here is one of my favorite photos… if you squint hard enough you can see my teeny little name there by the logo. Love it!

Well thats all the photos I have for Lost and Found. Hopefully you can get a good idea for what the line looks like. It will be in stores VERY SOON — 2-3 weeks! This is a great time to ask your LSS if they are going to carry it though — if they get their order in soon then they’ll get it right after the shops who ordered it at CHA.

Of course this wasn’t the only line that My Mind’s Eye debuted at CHA. There were lots of other goodies too!

First off we have Zoe Pearn’s Alphabet Soup. This line is so adorable! My favorite part are the matching decks of ABC cards. I can think of a million cute things to do with those! The chipboard and epoxy brads are fabulous too.

Next we have Halloween. These two lines are done by Deena Rutter (top) and Carina Gardner (bottom). Blackbird is all illustrated and such a cute line. Haunted is kraft paper that has white printed on it as well as black flocking which feels like velvet. It’s beautiful and such a unique Halloween line. I love both of these lines and hope that they jump off the shelves!

Last but not least, here is Christmas! This is actually my Christmas line called Holly Jolly. I am so happy how it printed out. The colors are very vibrant without looking garish. I think I’m going to cover some wood blocks or something with it. I can’t wait to play! Also I need to get started early this year on neighbor gifts — now that I actually know people here.

Here you can see both Christmas releases from MME – Holly Jolly & I believe.

And finally here is a shot of the booth from the outside… This was at the end of set-up so it’s a bit candid and you can see everyone taking a load off and resting. My favorite part is the vacuum cleaner.

This one is less messy — from the front:

Sorry about the bad quality of all these photos — I’m not the best photographer and the lighting is horrid inside convention centers. Hopefully you got a good feel for Lost and Found and also all the other fun lines that My Mind’s Eye released at CHA Summer 2010! Thanks for reading all the way to the bottom! Maybe next CHA you can come meet me at the show!

Hello! I paper-crafted yesterday! It has been quite awhile since I’ve done anything but sit with my laptop, but it was so much fun just to play around! On Wednesday, I got a HUGE box of paper and accessories from My Mind’s Eye.

So I quickly made this cute and very FAST card using the Quite Contrary line from MME that Zoe Pearn and I designed. I cut out the little imperfect scallop border by hand and then doodled a border around it to make it look a little more finished. Then I simply added a border sticker, some sticker letters and sticker buttons (with a little twine pulled through the holes). And I finished it off with a rhinestone border from MME’s Lush Line.

Also on the inside, since the b-side of the paper was too busy to write on, I pulled a journal card from Quite Contrary and wrote on that:

Actually playing around with this line made me realize how great it is for card making. Which I’m really excited about because that is probably my favorite thing to do with paper right now! There are tons of little journal cards and accessories and most of the prints are really small and work well for layering especially when dealing with small spaces like cards. When I find a little free time in a few weeks, I’m just going to sit down and make a huge collection of cards with all this paper!!

Oh my busy! I feel terrible, it’s been the longest stretch of non-updating that my blog has ever seen. Almost 2 months! I’m so sorry everyone, life has been exceptionally busy! First things first though, My birthday was 2 weeks ago and I got lots of fun things. My favorites include:

Theses shoes from Spencer…. my current theory is the higher the heel, the better

And Gennifer had this adorable headband sent all the way from canada:

And my friend Heather made me my own snuggie! here is a digital layout I made showing it off:

Now that we’re up to date on new accessories nothing else seems to matter! But I’ll keep going… In the past month I’ve designed a new paper line along with Deena Rutter The line is really beautiful and elegant and called So Sophie. MME will start selling it very soon and it should be in Local Scrapbooking Stores in April/May

Also my Quite Contrary and Beloved Papers got picked up by the quilting company Riley Blake to become super cute fabric! I’ll update more on that as I actually get to see some!

I also have another paper line in the works right now but you’ll just have to wait a bit to see what it looks like! It’s sure to be extra feminine and frilly!

On the Digital Scrapbooking front, Design House Digital is going great! There is a great gallery promotion going right now.
Valentine’s day is sneaking up! I have some projects in the works, but I’ve been getting ready for CHA so I haven’t had time to finish and share them. I did however release a digital line of valentine’s kits that are sooooo cute, so I wanted to share those with you. I also have 2 free valentine downloads, those will be at the bottom of the post, so keep reading!

The first thing I want to show you is an adorable “Ten reasons why I’m crazy about you” quick album that I designed. This is really awesome and I’m going to finish mine and print it out for Mr. Project for V-day this year. Basically it consists of TEN 5″x7″ pages where you can quickly drop in photos and your text, or simply drop in your photos, print and then hand-write your text. I am super exited about this meaningful album. It’s available in my shop at Design House Digital.

I also have a bunch of Smitten papers, elements and heart sets in my shop. This mini kit is 30% off Thursday Jan 21 ONLY.

My Favorite one are these paisley stamps:

So now to the freebies! My friend and Design House Decorator Tiffany Bodily Made this adorable Photo valentine. The file is a PNG file (like my quick album), where you can drop your photo under the image layer and then print it out.

I made a cute printable valentine that doesn’t require any work or know-how:

Both valentine cards measure 3″wide by 4″ tall when printed. They are each set up on their own 8.5×11 sheet for easy printing. These cards are for PERSONAL use only and can only be downloaded from www.theprojectgirl.com. If you find these downloads available elsewhere, please contact me using the contact link on this site. Happy Valentine’s day!

If you’ve heard about Project 365 or are thinking about doing it, now is a great time to start. I’m sure you have *some* photos from 2010 and many more days are ahead of you still! This year I was planning on doing a modified version of 365 where I would compile photos from each month and make a few pages, and then at the end of the year get an album printed. However when I really started looking at how much fun taking just one single picture every day could be, I decided to go for it! So I made a super clean, super simple album template for the month of January. I wanted it to be very photo-oriented because with 365 photos of different things, you don’t want too much interfering with that. Plus I like really graphic and editorial style layouts. Here is the album that I designed:

You can see that it’s really basic. It has 8 pages wth spaces for 31 photos, and then a 9th page which has one line for a caption for each photo. I am going to make a corresponding album for every month of 2010. Each will be a variation based on the season, but they will all have the same look and feel so that if you followed the project through for the whole year, you would end up with a sleek coordinating album.

You can also personalize and modify the template to your specifications by adding digital elements and patterns. I decided to make a quick video tutorial to show you just how easy it is to compile your photos from 2010. Hopefully it will inspire you to start taking pictures! If you are unfamiliar with templates, this tutorial should give you a basic understanding of how templates work in general. I used Photoshop Elements 8.0 but the same principles apply to other versions as well as full-featured Photoshop.

For those of you who are avid scrapbookers and papercrafters, you might know about CHA the semi-annual crafting trade-show. CHA is in just a few short days and I have an adorable paper line coming out by My Mind’s Eye called Quite Contrary. My good friend Zoe Pearn and I collaborated on the design of this paper line to bring you 40 fun and beautiful papers and 80 a-la-cart accessories. I wanted to show you a few of my favorite elements, but I love all the pieces so much! You can see them all at My Mind’s Eye.

Check your local scrapbook store in the next few weeks when it hits stores. Be sure to ask for it by name so that your store will know that they need to order it in if they haven’t already. I can’t wait to get my hands on it and make some fun projects as well as see all the amazing things that crafters are making with it too! I’ll be posting here from CHA with lots of updates and photos!

I’m so excited for Valentine’s day to come. Mostly I’m just excited for the paper and the decorations. You may remember when I posted about my Be-loved Paper. I now have some of it in my grubby little hands and LOVE it. I’m planning a few fun projects and free cutter files, but that probably wont be for another week. But for now I wanted to do a give-away of one full set of my Be-loved papers. That is 9 papers and 1 accessory sheet. The set looks like this:

It can be purchased at most any local scrapbook store. If your local store does not carry this line by My Mind’s Eye. Please ask them to get it in stock. Now is the time because pretty soon it will be too late for them to order in holiday merchandise. I have found that most shops are pretty accommodating and willing to order in pretty much any paper that customers ask for by name!

In the mean time though, I wanted to get this give-away show on the road. So if you want to be entered to win, please post a comment on THIS POST including your favorite thing about this blog! I’m going to pick a winner on Monday the 18th!
