Fabric, Fabric… and more fabric

I just got back from Utah, which means I got to pick up a LOT of fabric from Riley Blake (and A LOT of paper from My Mind’s Eye… but that’s another post).

I was super excited to get home and line it all up in my new craft room (which will someday have actual shelves to hold it all). So here it all is! Now I just need to figure out that whole quilting thing. But I swear I’m going to go to the Sacramento Modern Quilters Guild meeting this week to get me started!  Okay back to the fabric!

My Lost & Found fabric just debuted- it’s made of blacks, greys, reds, pinks and creams, and I love it!

Since I’m so in love with grey right now, the black/grey set is my favorite. My most favorite fabric is the grey one in the center. I am in love with it and want to use it for about a million home decor projects, in close second is the white/cream stripe (yum!) and the black and cream labels. I can’t wait to start playing with them!!

And here are all the red and pink ones! I love these ones too (especially the palest pink ones), but not with the fiery passion that I love the grey ones with!

And of course we can’t forget the Holly Jolly fabric! I already blogged about this from Quilt Market, but I am so excited to have it and start my Christmas plans. I would have to say my favorite thing about this line is that the colors are just so vibrant and yummy. I seriously just want to caress the fabric, I’ve never seen reds and burgundys that supple before!

Quite Contrary – CHA 2010

For those of you who are avid scrapbookers and papercrafters, you might know about CHA the semi-annual crafting trade-show. CHA is in just a few short days and I have an adorable paper line coming out by My Mind’s Eye called Quite Contrary. My good friend Zoe Pearn and I collaborated on the design of this paper line to bring you 40 fun and beautiful papers and 80 a-la-cart accessories. I wanted to show you a few of my favorite elements, but I love all the pieces so much! You can see them all at My Mind’s Eye.

Check your local scrapbook store in the next few weeks when it hits stores. Be sure to ask for it by name so that your store will know that they need to order it in if they haven’t already.  I can’t wait to get my hands on it and make some fun projects as well as see all the amazing things that crafters are making with it too! I’ll be posting here from CHA with lots of updates and photos!

Venture Outdoors Festival

This year’s Venture Outdoors Festival poster that *Mr. Project* & I designed together for the upcoming Festival that my friend Aimee puts on every year. I am so happy how it came out! Definitely a “portfolio piece” for my professional work.

If you’re in the Salt Lake area, you should really try and attend this great festival. Such a great family activity with some great entertainment too — and its FREE. The fire dancers from Incendiary Circus at the end are my FAVORITE part, so be sure to stay till the end!
