Motivated Monday – Holiday House guest planner

November 7th, 2011

Thanksgiving will be here before we know it and if you plan on hosting overnight guests it can be a lot of work. Stay organized by using my Holiday House Guest Planner. I divided this planner into 4 sections: preparations, accomodations, meals, and activities. Then along the bottom there is a 1 week schedule where you can write in the days of the week leading up to and including your guest’s visit.

Halloween will come and go in no time, so now is the time to start organizing your decorations. I recommend taking photos of all of your decoration displays. For my Halloween decorations I have: 1. My Mantle, 2. My buffet, 3. entry, 4. front porch. I’ll take photos of each of the areas, print and attach them to this form. Then I’ll fill out each of the form areas with the contents and the changes I want to make for next year. This way when I pull out all my decorations for next year, I know exactly how it looked the year before and the additional items I need to purchase or make to complete the look!  You can put this form in your holiday binder or keep it in your holiday storage bins.

Motivated Monday – Project organization *Free Download

Now that the holiday season is fast upon us, I have more projects than I have time to do them! As I was cleaning my craft room this morning, I decided that I need a “project master list” so I can keep everything organized. So I whipped up this simple form to keep my projects listed so I don’t forget any crafty stuff that I want to get done. One of the nice things about this form is that you can use it on work projects, house projects, church projects etc. It’s not craft specific! So I can print out one of these babies for Mr. Project and he can write down all the little house projects he’s been trying to get to.

In addition to the master list, I created a companion form that holds a bit more information and shopping list on each of your more complicated projects. With these two forms handy, hopefully we all can get some great projects done for the holidays!
