November Swatch Challenge *Free Mini Kit

November 7th, 2011

Once a year I get to host a color swatch challenge at Design House Digital. So this month I put together this cute color scheme:I also made this mini digital kit that you can download for free!

If you’re a digi scrapper, join in the challenge at Design House Digital for a chance to win a $5 gift certificate.

In addition to that digi challenge, I thought it would be fun to host a craft challenge on my blog using this color scheme.

So create a project, layout, card — any type of craft using these colors, and post a link to your project here. I’ll pick one random participant who will win a grab bag of my Stella and Rose scrapbooking supplies OR 5 fat-quarters from my Holly Jolly Fabric.

Deadline: Wednesday, November 30th 5PM PST.

Day Six: From a low angle

Our new sink was installed today (Oct 5). I love it so much!!

This is our upstairs bannister. Still have to finish the hand rail, and apparently putty and touch-up the newel post… which I would not have known unless I took this low angle photo.

October Photo Challenge – Day 3&4

October 4th, 2011

Welcome to day [3+4] of the October photography challenge. For more information on the challenge read this post.

Day One: Self Portrait

Day Two: What you wore

Day Three: Clouds

Day Four: Something Green

Sorry about being late on Day 3. I was not in the most bloggy mood last night. But I did take my photo yesterday:

Journal: Today was the first “cold” day of the season. You can definitely tell that the weather has turned. If this were Mary Poppins, she would be flying off by now saying that all of her work was done. Or something like that. I think pictures of the sky always look bad. This one included. I thought about taking a picture of some cloud scrapbooking paper… but decided to go and snap the sky since it was the first overcast day that we’ve had in a long time.

And here is my Something Green from day 4:

This is our orange tree! There are quite a few “oranges” in the orange tree. But they are still green — a very pretty green! I can’t wait for them to turn orange, and then I will eat them, and maybe make some marmalade.
