Chalk Painted Craft Pumpkins

September 1st, 2015

Fall is quickly approaching and what better way to ring in the season than pumpkins! Craft pumpkins from Michaels are the best. This year they have more colors and sizes than before, I grabbed an assortment, and some Martha Stewart Craft Paint and got painting.

I thought some words on the pumpkins would be a fun touch, so I used my favorite Adtech Glue Gun to write “fall”

Once dry, I cleaned up all the strings, and then painted two coats of chalk paint.

Once those were dry, I used a darker color of chalk paint and dry-brushed it over the surface.

I did the same thing with the word “thanks” and orange chalk paint. I painted a few more pumpkins to match. I love the blue as part of my fall pallet.

I also found this gorgeous frame at Michaels. It was a tan color, so I painted it with the same chalk paint. Then I created a simple fall banner. theprojectgirl-fall-frame

I even embellished it with these cute little acorns.

And I had some help staging from my littlest Leo.
