theprojectgirl-minc-usa-banner2Things have been busy around here, lots of deadlines and such with my design work. But I was happy to take a day and play with my new goodies for the Minc machine.

I used these great letters and flag kits, as well as the silver, red, and blue foils. You can get starter kits and accessories for the Minc machine at Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann, as well as local and online shops.

I love using this machine to foil. the foil goes on like butter, and the transfer sleeve helps keep the foil lined up with the paper.  Here you can see how the letters and banners look straight out of the bags. Black/white, ready to foil. Its kind of hard to visualize your project without the color, but so AWESOME once they are foiled because it’s such a huge change.

The machine is super easy to use, you just send your toner-printed items or the Minc accessories through the machine with foil over the areas you want to foil. Once they come through the other end, you peel off the foil, and you have gorgeous vibrant metallic designs.

I ran all my pieces through the Minc, and then put foam dots on the backs of the letters to add dimension to the banner. theprojectgirl-minc-usa-banner-pop

Then I assembled the banner, adding some ribbon between each letter. theprojectgirl-minc-usa-banner-closeAnd here’s my cute finished foil banner! Just in time for the month of July!
