2014 Michaels Dream Tree Challenge – Let it snow

Dream Tree Challenge Creative

The Annual Michaels Dream Tree Challenge is underway and I was lucky enough to be asked to decorate a tree this year. I love Christmas so much and am so in love with how my tree turned out. Here’s what I started out with,  a basic  7′ pre-lit artificial tree (50% off right now). I really like the narrow shape and how it’s not too bushy.tree-before

After strolling down all the aisles at Michaels, I decided on a “let it snow” theme (in my head it’s set to the tune of Let it Go). Lots of frosted greenery, antique silver glitter, crystal snowflakes etc.

I used a mixture of existing ornaments, picks, garlands, and some DIY stuff as well to create this lovely tree:jenallyson-letitsnow2

Let it snow! I love how all the white and cream works with my white walls and yet the tree isn’t overwhelmingly white.

I also love all the frosted greenery gives the looks of a lightly flocked tree.

The little houses, nests, and wood trees are my favorite.

Now that you’ve seen my dream tree, you must check out all the other fabulous dream trees by the other Michaels Makers:

I really love all the frosted greenery. I’ve been adding that slowly to my tree each year. Looking at yours, I see I need to add a little faster! 😉 I also like your “Let it Snow” banners. Everything looks so pretty!
