Cherry Wood Countertop Photos

September 27th, 2011

The wood countertops are ALMOST ready! Mr. Project was putting the first few coats of “waterlox” on his cherry slab countertops.

He says that he wants to put them upstairs tonight and assemble the two pieces together!

There are two sections because the wood only comes so long and these countertops are more than 14 FEET long.

This picture is a little on the light side, the first picture is closer to the color. And they should darken A LOT in the first week once they get exposed to the western sun coming in the kitchen. I hope they get dark soon though, because I love how aged cherry looks. Mr. Project refused to stain them (he’s a wood purist), so its all time and sun from here on out!

Here is the awesome and GIANT sink just waiting to be installed:

I can’t wait to show you pictures of it in the kitchen!

Wow. That countertop will be gorgeous!

Question for you….what will be the first thing you make in your new kitchen?

Oh girl, I don’t know what I”ll cook, but I do know that the first point of business will be to wash some dishes in the dishwasher, and the second point of business will be to give Ollie a bath in the big sink!

  4. Of the four captions for sheds shown here on this page, I think I wold be more inclined to buy the Gambrel roof shed. I don’t exactly know how it is different from the other types of sheds, other than by its color and design, but It is interesting to note how a buyers thinking affects whether they buy or not and if they do, which item they choose. In my case, I chose based on its resemblance to a workman’s shed.
