Love those as papers and love those prints as fabric! I think I would use some to make flowers for scrap pages and projects. Maybe I would actually sew, a pillow, or apron!! Great stuff!

I would love to have my mom make a cute apron for me for the Festival of Trees Sweet Shoppe out of this fabric. It’s perfect for it.

Stella & Rose now at Two Peas in a Bucket

February 19th, 2011

For those of you who have been wanting to get your hands on my new scrapbooking paper line – Stella & Rose, it’s now available in its entirety at Two Peas in a Bucket.

They are already sold out of  the 6×6 pads, but hopefully they’ll restock soon. I got a shipment of it from MME and it is gorgeous, the 6×6 pads are my favorite, I love how tiny the prints are in them. The stamps and brads and pretty much everything else are pretty awesome too. I especially love the little label stickers.

Here are some cards and layouts using Stella & Rose that I’ve spied recently:

Butterfly Card by Life as Lou

Miss You! card by Just Helen

Cousins Layout by Jana Eubank

Carefree Boy – Two Peas Gallery

Pigtails from the Two Peas Gallery

I have been seeing Quite Contrary all around the internet. Here are a few awesome projects I have spotted:

Ruffled & quilted skirt on the Earth Girl Fabrics Blog

Adorable purses at Geta’s Quilting Studio Blog. She has tons of gorgeous variations on this cute pattern.

This amazing pinwheel quilt by Marian Gallian at Pink Hippo Quilts

Ruffled Apron at The Little Fabric Shop Blog (their shop does have some Quite Contrary in stock)

Adult Apron on Etsy

If you’ve created something with Quite Contrary, I’d love to see it! Be sure to post a comment with a link.

Quite Contrary Fat Quarter *Giveaway*

February 16th, 2011

My very first fabric line Quite Contrary from Riley Blake was released at Quilt Market a few months ago. I finally got my paws on some and am completely in love. It’s perfect for spring and summer sewing projects, quilts, little girl dresses and more. I’m thinking napkins and quilted table runner for Easter. My favorite pattern is the strawberries with the white background and since I don’t have any girls, I’m thinking I need to make a super girly ruffled apron for myself.

Enough about me… I want to share the love with you all and give away a set of fat quarters or 2 or 3 or 4… do you want to win a set???

Do one, or all of the following and leave a seperate comment for each:

1. Subscribe to my RSS feed

2. Follow me on facebook

3. Blog about my giveaway

4. Post about the giveaway on your facebook wall.

5. Leave a comment telling me what project you would love to make with this fabric.

For every 100 comments I receive, I’ll give away 1 full set of 21 fat quarters (up to 4 sets). So tell your friends! The more comments I get, the more I’ll give away!

All entries are due by Friday February 25th, 12 pm PST. Winners will be announced Monday, February 28th.

If you are interested in purchasing this fabric here are few online stores that carry various patterns from the collection:

Spice Berry Cottage

Fat Quarter Shop

Hawthorn Threads

I’m sure there are a lot more out there as well as some etsy sellers. Also be sure to support your local quilt shop and ask them to order it in if they don’t already carry it.

Happy quilting/sewing/fabric collecting!

Craft Blog of the Week – Carly of Quiltville

February 15th, 2011

This week one of my friends sent me a link to this very inspirational quilting blog called Carly of Quiltville. I absolutely love her modern take on quilts, and her choice in fabric. Especially this beautiful quilt that she made with my Quite Contrary fabric from Riley Blake! (I’ll be doing a give-away of fat quarters sometime this week, so check back). Isn’t it so cute?

Here are a few more of her darling quilts:

Check out her blog for more inspiration. I know I feel inspired… I just need to learn how to quilt now! Are you a quilter? How did you get started?
